Perhaps it's the high standards that we've set for much of this season, but for one reason or another our home draw against Fulham was a major letdown.
However, a point returned us to that all-important fourth place and was at
least better than a defeat - this and the point taken from Villa could yet be
the difference between Champions League action and more mundane European trips.
For some though it's all too much, and the boos rang out at the final whistle.
Players seldom improve because they're being barracked, and sarcastic applause directed at the under-performing Cort and Elliott was unforgivable.
Most of this match passed by in near silence, and the small section of away fans could clearly be heard, despite being outnumbered nearly 50 to 1.
Sadly, for many alleged toon fans, the only time they opened their mouths all night was to boo the team they have the nerve to say they support.
