Yet another inauspicious week in the history of Newcastle saw a fine win over Villa overshadowed within days by an unscheduled Spanish stroll.
Despite the desperate efforts of the gutter press to find some dirt to dish
on messrs Bellamy, Cort, Griffin and Dyer though, it seems there was less
to the stories than first thought.
Unless the club have been unusually good in hiding information, this begs
the question - why send them home?
Photos taken at the infamous dinner saw the team in casual attire, with one former England striker wearing what looked like a Marks & Spencer jumper.
Maybe John Hall's presence caused the censure, but our lame and naive PR
response made us look like amateurs.
