In honour of our 500th Premiership point (actually 502nd) won at Bolton, here's our milestones - geordie style.
1st point, August 1993, a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford thanks to Andy Cole, and Nicky Papavasiliou's finest hour.
100 points, October 1994, another 1-1, this time at home to Blackburn. Shearer pen for Rovers, Howey's arse for us.
250 points, October 1996. Newcastle 5 Man United 0. 'Nuff said.
In our 8th Premiership season, we sit at 7th place in the all-time points
scored table, with only Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Chelsea and Villa
ahead of us, despite our having played a season less.
We've called upon 92 players in winning those points, with a further 13 having warmed up in vain, and no less than 28 nationalities have worn the stripes.
Next up? We're seven away from our 500th Premiership goal. Bet Al gets it.
