Newcastle U21s returned to PL2 action on Saturday morning against Fulham at Whitley Park.

Scoreless at the break, the pink-clad visitors went ahead on 62 minutes through Delano McCoy-Splatt, only for Jamie Miley to immediately equalise with his first goal of the season, converting Amadou Diallo's centre from close range.

The Magpies then twice came close to going ahead through Lucas De Bolle and Alfie Harrison before the Cottagers restoring their lead through substitute Lemar Gordon on 80 minutes.

England youth international midfielder Joshua King then gave the final score a slightly lop-sided look, firing past home custodian Jude Smith in the final seconds of normal time.
