Newcastle's
U21 side ended their three game losing run in PL2 with a deserved draw on
Saturday, but were denied all three points by an equaliser in the seventh minute
of second half added time.
Clad in their green strip, United dominated the opening period of the game
staged in front of an all-ticket crowd at Albion's Elite Performance Centre in
Lancing.
And they went in a goal ahead thanks to Lewis Miley, who had come close on four
previous occasions before driving low into the net following a 34th minute
corner.
The visitors were left a man short by the dismissal of Lucas De Bolle on 56
minutes for a second bookable offence but looked to have done enough to hang on
as eight additional minutes began
Sadly the hosts salvaged a fortunate point when substitute Joshua Duffus crossed
with barely 60 seconds remaining and Mark O'Mahony flicked the ball past Jude
Smith and into the United net.
