Heffernan following confirmation of his arrival from AC Milan earlier in the
week.

Newcastle's U21
side suffered their second PL2 defeat on the road in a week on
Friday night, beaten by Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
The Royals extended their 100% seasonal record to three games when Jayden
Wareham got on the end of Sam Paul's cross from the left and headed
past Jude Smith five minutes before half time.
United were unable to cancel that out, despite gaining a numerical
advantage for the closing 30 minutes of the game (plus 12 minutes of
time added on) following the dismissal of Jack Senga for his second
booking.
