Eddie Howe said: "The first half was difficult as they were clearly trying to slow the game down which is their right. The referee didn't help us with that because we wanted the opposite. "We wanted a quick game with a lot of running but it wasn't there in
the first half - it was a dead game. We didn't really get what we wanted. I
didn't think we helped ourselves with that I thought we were lethargic but
certainly we have worked the players hard. "That was always the plan (to alter the side after an hour). We didn't pick the players who we thought could play longer and we protected the players we thought needed it. "Mostly the international boys who have had less training. The others,
their performance was very good but the first 60 minutes we looked
fatigued." “Nick (Pope) has come in and there is real competition for the goal keeping place and he did very well today so I am pleased with that and Sven (Botman) is someone we chased for a long time. On the transfer situation: “It is a difficult window, a difficult market, high prices and very limited availability. I'm sure we can hopefully land a player who can make a difference to us. "It's not necessarily one area of the team. You have to be adaptable as if we can't find the right player. I might have to look at other positions. We are looking at quality players who will make the group better, regardless of position."
Michael Köllner said: "For me, what happens in training during the week is crucial. We did well in the first half, but I'm assuming that one or the other will really step on the gas again next week and show himself to be on the pitch in Dresden on Saturday. "We still had heavy legs. But for me it's not important
that we achieve mega results in preparation. "Balls that feel like they are going wide in the 3rd
league are still running. They're a lot faster. So it was a great test for
us, in which we presented ourselves very well in the first half.”
Second half strikes from Joe Willock, Sean
Longstaff and Bruno Guimaraes saw United ease to victory in their second
warm-up game on Friday.
