Archer shot.

Abandoned 28 minutes.
Extreme weather conditions caused
the postponement of Newcastle's rescheduled Premier League 2 fixture
at Whitley Park on Friday evening.
Brought forward from Monday as a result of Villa's Papa John's Trophy
tie, less than half an hour's play was possible
before conditions deteriorated to such an extent that the lines
became obscured and the ball barely rolled forward.
The visitors went ahead on 22 minutes when goalkeeper Dan
Langley parried a long-range shot into the path of Cameron Archer
who side-footed home.
Unfortunately the abandonment came too late for United's Elliot Anderson,
who had already limped off in the 15th minute with what was later
confirmed as a muscle pull.
Thanks to GW for braving the storm - we'd already set off for
Arsenal the following lunchtime...
