36 mins Will Keane shot 0-1
At half time the home side led thanks to a 33rd minute effort from striker Will Keane - who netted twice in a 5-1 victory over the Magpies at the same venue last season. A rick by Newcastle 'keeper Ole Soderberg eight minutes into the second period then saw him credited with an OG, after dropping Oliver Norwood's corner into his own net. The Swedish custodian was then left helpless again after 64 minutes, when Italian midfielder Davide Petrucci rifled home a powerful effort to make it 0-3. And three duly became four less than five minutes later, when Will Keane's brother Michael headed in. With six minutes to play, Alberto Massacci then shot home before Petrucci again strode forward and netted in the final seconds of a dispiriting evening - the first time that we've been hit for six at this level since a 3-6 loss at Bradford City in December 1999. As expected, the home side left out Ravel Morrison - currently at the centre of much transfer speculation, including alleged interest in him from Newcastle.
