Half time: Utrecht 0 United 0
The second game of United's Dutch reserve tour saw them recover from a two goal deficit to claim victory, thanks to second half efforts from Joey Barton, Michael Richardson and Ryan Donaldson. In a game played at Utrecht's Zoudenbalch training complex (close to their main Galgenwaard Stadium), United included defender Mike Williamson after his arrival from Tyneside - Mrs W. apparently nowhere near to giving birth. Trailing to a 58th minute Elroy Pappot goal, United then went 0-2 down on 73 minutes through Enzio Boldewijn, the second goal stemming from a misplaced Joey Barton pass. However the Magpies substitute then pulled a goal back within seconds. Michael Richardson then levelled matters with nine minutes remaining before Ryan Donaldson supplied an 85th minute winner - his second goal in as many games. |
