Bradley Wright-Phillips scored again for Manchester City Reserves on Monday night as Newcastle's second string were beaten 3-0 - two weeks after their Old Trafford counterparts came to Kingston Park and notched the same scoreline. Shaun's younger brother scored twice last season and slotted in City's third in the 78th minute after Tommy Craig's side had a second half collapse. It was goalless at half-time with Guy Bates coming closest to breaking the deadlock, rattling the bar in the 21st minute. City went in front in the 57th minute when United defender Peter Ramage sliced a free-kick from the visitors into his own net. Christian Negouai doubled the lead eight minutes later, shooting home in front of the watching Kevin Keegan with Wright-Phillips completing the scoring.Biffa |
