Half time: Lincoln 0 Newcastle 1
United's Pontins Reserve side completed the league double over Lincoln with a 2-1 victory at Ashby Avenue on Wednesday afternoon to move up to second spot in the league. A young side went ahead through one of their oldest players, Andy Ferrell in the 28th minute and held the lead up to half-time. Carl Finnigan made it 2-0 in the 76th minute, to add to his goal against Birmingham on Monday, but Imps substitute Ollie Ryan got one back within a minute to keep the home side in the contest. |
