While the eyes of the footballing world have been focussed on Sven the Swedish Saviour, what of the man who threw it all away? Thanks to NUFC.com readers, we can now reveal what Kevin Keegan is doing with his new-found free time.
Still living in the North-East, Kev has been indulging in some retail therapy, and can often be found wandering the aisles in a certain large DIY shop.
His purchases? Over £2,000 worth of picture frames.
In answer to a question posed by the checkout assistant, Kev was happy to confirm he wouldn't be framing pictures of his former teams, or even that silver disc for selling 100 copies of "Head Over Heels in Love" in Andorra.
Instead, the walls of the Keegan residence will soon be adorned with portraits of his string of racehorses.
We can only hope he'll actually get round to finishing this particular job, and not leave it in a dreadful mess.
